In love, but not at peace. (Take 3)

Sometimes the depth of his feelings for his partner terrify him, and if he’s honest, in a way he hates the fact that he’s been thinking about these things and feels the need to talk about them. But try as he may, he can’t pretend that the time they’ve spent together doesn’t mean something to him. And perhaps the reason he would even try to do so is that it’s easier having things that mean nothing than admitting that they mean something and then having to deal with the fact that they mean something more than nothing. (Exhale!)

In other words, admitting that this all means something to him also means admitting that suddenly there’s something to lose.

I wish more people in my life would admit more, even if there is truth and fear in admitting.
